I have heard whispers that some school athletic leadership haven't liked the league trying to build up women's basketball as the Big East's #2 sport at the expense of baseball, soccer and volleyball. The latter two which in my opinion are sports we can really excel at.

Would love a little soccer discussion this year. Creighton lost 2-0 to Virginia Tech in their home opener last night. Disappointing, but Elmar has lots of new faces and a 5th year senior keeper starting for the first time so maybe we'll have some growing pains.

Jays got drilled at #1 Stanford last night 3-0. Awful start.
