Seton Hall desperately need to fire its soccer coach. The guy can't recruit, can't develop players, and is tactically incompetent. They went winless last season (overall, not just in league play) and there's no reason to think this year will be any different.

Hoyas lose a heart breaker 1-0 @ #2 Akron. Goal was scored with less than 30s left.

PC needs to get healthy. Steeves has not been able to give much and he is their top goal scoring threat and a preseason POY favorite. They are also missing Machado, a former All-BE second team player.

Now sitting at 4-2 after losing their first two games (URI and Clemson).

Butler is ranked #10 in the most recent soccer poll.

Creighton is #14.

Honestly given our history I can't be mad about the current state of our soccer team, but this season has been a rollercoaster and we haven't even gotten into conference play.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

It's doubtful Seton Hall wins another game this year, but hey- at least they're 2 wins better than last year!

Creighton hands #12 Loyola Chicago its first loss in a 3-0 victory. Loyola had given up only 2 goals all year and none in the last 588 minutes of play. CU seems to have figured some things out after the 1-1 tie to UN-Omaha. Other than a 0-0 draw with #8 Denver, CU has scored at least 3 goals each game since the UNO debacle. Defense and goal tending have been pretty solid. The team appears to be rounding into position to make a good run after a lackluster start.

Looks like PC's Mac Steeves might not return this season. He was on the Herman Trophy watch list to open the season.
