I think it is safe to say Xavier is going to still recruit him, but it is a long shot at this point. Xavier has two priorities now, getting another point guard to play with Goodin, and insurance for Sumner leaving. They also would like to add another big, preferably one with athleticsm that can finish and protect the rim.

Outside of those two priorities, they have a few elite prospects they are in on that would be no brainer takes, but are competing with blue bloods on.

Jermaine is going to be a boss in Jay Wright's system. I know Samuels had an offer from Duke, but lets not forget that Duke just took Alex O'Connell two days ago. These guys play the same spot. Duke was interested but Samuels wasn't a priority guy. Villanova has made Jermaine a priority all summer and has had a relationship with him since 7th grade. He only scheduled one official for a reason. #novalock
