I do not see how you can chalk this up to relevant. It's a tiny story that says nothing important. How come it is telling and not just an afterthought piece to placate some annoyed readers? It might as well be a message board post for all of it's content, nothing in it even hints at some sort of insider information.

St. Louis media has given up on it completely. I haven't seen or heard a mention of the Big East in STL in awhile (except for Frank Cusumano's interview with Chris May).

The Blues are in the playoffs, and the Cardinals are playing. I don't think it would move the needle in St. Louis today if the Big East said they were stopping at 10 forever, going to 12 without SLU, or taking the Billikens.

After last night's hockey game, there's enough to talk about here right now.

The Billikens' play-by-play man, Bob Ramsey, has a radio show in the mornings in St. Louis, and he won't talk about it. That's the line.
Big East Basketball is what it's always been. Great competition nightly.
If the Atlantic 10 didn't suck, why is everyone looking for the exits?
There is a reason why the A-10 left a team in the Central Time Zone...SLU, your move.

It is easy... Richmond, Slu, Dayton and a hundred other aspirant programs are not in the BE therefore any articles no mater how small or badly written (this article was actually decently written) will be taken as relevant and solid rumors that their school is or is not getting in by their respective fan bases. Obviously if you are in the in group these articles become somewhat less.

The fact is the C7 could have solved all this at the press conference when they were asked a direct question about expansion. instead they said we are happy with 10 and have no plans with expansion at this time, however we are open to expansion and are monitoring the changing situation in college sports and are always open to the possibility of expansion. (a true lawyer prepared answer... no real answer and all your options are left open). Until the July 1 deadline hits, all rumors are still valid.

Forgive us. We don't have playoff hockey or major league baseball down here. Only Flying Squirrels baseball and Richmond Raiders Indoor Football (which I believe is actually played outdoors now) to tide us over until FCS football gets underway.

 (that's for the emoticon hating guy)

You are forgiven. I like Richmond as a program. It's just dead silence in St. Louis about it.

Dump...
its dead silence everywhere... just see the Seton Hall job openings listings if you need proof.... look under Athletic Director... odd thing is since Shupirate posted the Seton Hall rumor he's been quiet too another likely victim to the BE mafia.

Richmond could be added tomorrow and I wouldn't think this article indicated anything. It's a nice, concise recap of the situation, but it doesn't indicate any significance to ongoing events.

When Rammer won't answer Big East questions, that's a sign. Of what, I don't know.

Nobody messes with Rammer.... if Rammer talked about the BE expansion... not even the BE mafioso could silence him....
