The announcer just introduced Marquette as the Warriors.

I like him.
Coach Al Mcguire:
"I like seashells and balloons, ribbons and medals, bare feet and wet grass."
"When I'm losing, they call me nuts. When I'm winning, they call me eccentric."
"Queen of victory, pray for us."

Woot, guess Bellarmine isn't joining. :P Count me surprised on the win, Marquette is doing much better than I expected this season.

Shocking ending to the Bellarmine season... ranked 20th then three out of four games with OT losses we will now need to win at Penn. Apparently we had some guys out with suspensions. Good win for Marquette- looks like you guys have some decent players.

Marquette definitely has performed better than expected but I do believe part of that is due to the number of transfers rather than the going with 100% non varsity players.

Without working the numbers, I would theorize that until the conference performs better top to bottom, that expanding beyond 6 or 7 would hurt schools (replacing non conference games with more weaker conference games). Again, I have no data to support this theory.

G'town never was the top team in the conference when it had Cuse and ND. I was offering an opinion that it was the top program in the new BE based on history. I do think SJU, PC, Nova are improving and will certainly make the conference championship an open race.

Bill, does Marquette or the rest of the conference really need a bridge? Are any of the schools riding buses to/from Marquette? Lacrosse doesn't play friday then someplace else on saturday. Is KY a growing lacrosse region? I'm just thinking that in relation to how the conference potentially will be setup, Bellarmine might be too far south whereas Fairfield (slightly larger school) is in a solid east coast lacrosse region.

I'm not associated with FU in any way, but I am a proponent of associated membership for them.

Does anyone think Rutgers would prefer indy or any other conference instead of the BE? I think the BE and Rutgers will stay together until AQs are insured for BE and/or B1G.

I guess the Bellarmine loss was so devastating that the AD's decided that expanding to 12 teams was better than adding associates...

Really good for them. On a side note Que what are the odds you figure of Seton Hall adding non-rev sports such as lacrosse.
