Big East 10 schools for 2013

I think the travel aspect is really being overstated. The only school this really effects is Creighton. And it is clear that Fr. Lannon and Bruce Rasmussen think the benefit out ways the cost increase. The teams in the East have gone to Louisville a every year and DePaul and in regards to a flight it is an hour longer. This is really going to be fun and people are going to be blown away with Century Link Center and the fan base that Creighton has. When the C7 come to Omaha and there fans they will see what a coup getting Creighton was. And as a fan and a season ticket holder of Creighton it is a coup for us as well. Can't Wait!

You are missing some very important additions to Xavier.

- Matt Stainbrook: 6:10 Junior Center. Sat out this yeas due to Transfer from Western Michigan. Very tough and skilled post player out of St. Edward HS in Cleveland. Has lost weight and is now sculpted and ready to roll.

-Myles Davis. 6:2 Sophomore Shooting Guard. High level Top 100 recruit from Notre Dame Prep who sat out this year due to academics.

-Jalen Reynolds: 6:8 Sophomore Power Forward. High level Top 100 recruit from Maine Central. Sat out this year due to academics.

-Chris Cantino: 6:9 Power Forward. Sat out this year due to transfer.

Best Recruit to date- Brandon Randolph. 6:1 Top 100 combo guard from Los Angeles, CA.

All these guys will make a significant difference in XU's lineup and depth. I know that Stenger WILL NOT be a starter and Landen Amos WILL NOT be the 6th man.

Yea, what this guy said. The Xavier starting 5 and 6th man is dead wrong on the website. Its to be expected due to the weird state of the roster, but basically all of our new players are better than our current roster except for Semaj.

Father Shanley's response at today's news conference when asked about possible expansion:

“We’re 10 for next year. We know that for sure. Whether and how we get to 12 is negotiable. We’ve discussed a number schools that are really strong.”

It was more than that he said that they had to monitor the changing conference landscape prior to making any decisions - a nod to major conference team(s).

You're off on the Friars. Sidiki Johnson has left the team and is most likely gone. Wake Forrest transfer 7-footer Carson Desrosiers has a chance to start at the 5 (with Batts at the 4). If they go with Batts at the 5 most likely LaDontae Henton will be at the 4. I'm going to guess they go with the Desrosiers/Batts lineup as they need a bigger presence inside. 6'9" NC State transfer Tyler Harris is likely to be the top player off the bench (could contend for a starting spot also), or Henton off the bench if he's not starting.

The biggest omission is Ricky Ledo - a NBA ready 6'7" shooting guard. He was regarded by some as a top 10 talent out of HS and he's currently sitting out at PC as a partial qualifier. However, he may enter the NBA draft rather than play at PC next year. I'm guessing he stays though (too much unknown going to the NBA after sitting out). Depending on what happens with McDermott and Porter, Ledo could be the best pure talent in the league next year. So if he's at PC he obviously starts on the other wing along side Cotton (the leading scorer in the BE this year).
