Has Xavier played much against Big East teams? Curious, but I don't seem to remember them coming east often.

Since the Play in the A-10 I can assure you they play in the east coast alot... that said as far as the big east... i'm not sure...
I don't think it matters too much as most of the Xavier v Slu games date prior to 1980.

Doesn't 4-16 mean Nova has had their way with Xavier?

Well, Villanova fans. Nice program nice tradition. Please don't act like your team is superior to ours. Yes, you've had a nice year. Yes we've had a down year. More than any other school in the new conference I see a nice little rivalry with you guys. But I definatley think the last ten years we have been the better program. Hands down even with your final four. But totally respect the wildcats.

Butler fans , you need to come back down to reality. If you don't recall, we've looked to your program before to pluck coaches out. Oh yeah, you've made two runner ups a few years ago. Very, very impressive to say the least. I'm jealous of that. But what is this like your 12th tourney sppearance? Ever??????? Look we have like 12 in the last fifteen years. Literally. Come on son, get some longevity in your program. You know how people say its cool to go wrigley field and old Yankee stadium? Well you claim that to be the of the same cloth as Hinkle. Lets be real, it's a dump. I bet within a few years of finally making some real money now, you'll be building a new place , or paying to rent the pacers.

Again, X has their own on campus arena we built with our money in 2001. Also, for like the umpteenth time in a row Forbes magazine has X as their 18th most profitable college basketball program in the country, in the annual top twenty thing. Oh yeah, we are 1 of only two private schools to boast that this year, the other is Duke. What happens when and if Stevens leaves. Nervous?????

Just jiving with you guys... Seriously I love the smack talk, and what's so great is pretty much everyone has something to talk about and have relevancy. Well I guess seton halls and defaults , errrr I mean depauls have been awhile. Seriously we should all hope eachother does well starting now to build up our conference. But really I think it speaks for its self. We have some hell of a teams in here. What's nice is that they are all basketball centered. No bs. Back to the basics.
X-fan since birth!!!!!

No need to talk trash about other schools. And there is a 0% chance Butler builds a new place to play in the next 30 years.

We play UC every year. I know you guys would like to think they were never in the Big East, but we typically had our way with them. I think in the last 10 years our record is 7-3.

Xavier's out of conference goal is to play in an exempt tournament, have 4 buy games, our annual game against UC, and our other six games are home and homes with teams from BCS conferences, or good quality teams regardless of conference. For example we have had home and homes with Creighton, Gonzaga, Butler, and Memphis all recently.

I have a feeling we will tone that down slightly with the change in conference. Plus I think we should make UC a buy game. They are clearly below us.
