Thought I'd start a thread for discussing 1st round match-ups for all the teams that made the dance.


Creighton(7) vs. Cincinnatti(10) - Midwest (Philly)

Villanova(9) vs. N. Carolina(8) - South (Kansas City)

Georgetown(2) vs. Florida Gulf Coast(15) - South (Philly)

Butler(6) vs. Bucknell(11) - East (Lexington)

Marquette(3) vs. Davidson(14) - East (Lexington)

Half the league is dancing. This is going to be so much fun next year.

Creighton(7) vs. Cincinnati(10) - Creighton joining the BE & Cin. leaving, so Creighton gets a early taste of BE ball?

Villanova(9) vs. N. Carolina(8) - Tarheel fans are already playing a 2nd round match-up with Kansas on their board, I guess they got a first round bye.

Georgetown(2) vs. Florida Gulf Coast(15) - Really don't know much about FGCU, Hoyas should coast?

Butler(6) vs. Bucknell(11) - Bucknell one of those pesky little bracket busters, actually I live only 30 miles from Bucknell(Lewisburg PA). Bison are sort of Butler lite.

Marquette(3) vs. Davidson(14) - Steph Curry isn't walking thru that door, Marquette should take care of business.

UNC sucks this year. Nova will roll them.

Tough draw for Creighton. I think they can beat Cincinnati, but that will be a good game. Assuming they win, then they get Duke in the second round.

Cincinnati is physical - tough. Not overly talented, but a tough team

If Butler and Marquette each hold serve in the Second Round, they meet (for the 2nd time this year) in the Third Round in a preview of future Big East matchups between the two.

I am looking forward to the Creighton/ Cincinnati game. It will give me a better sense of how good Creighton is.
