A-10 tournament thread

Postby admin » Tue Mar 12, 2013 6:31 pm

Admittedly, I haven't watched much of the A-10 in years past, but this year but I am completely into the A-10 tournament now that Xavier, Butler, SLU, and Dayton will likely be joining us.

I thought having a single thread to discuss the games might be a good idea. Good luck guys!

you picked a good year to watch as the competition in the A-10 is fierce. Its completely possible that none of those teams you mentioned will even win a game, and that is only because of the toughness of the competition.

I would say my picks to win are... Temple, SLU, and Butler in that order. My sleeper is Xavier

I hope Butler only wins two games. I don't want them moving off the 6-line which is a better spot for some stretch than the 4 or 5 AND you are playing fewer games (keeping your legs) before the relevant tournament starts.

Well I believe at least either dayton or butler will at least one game, I believe they play eachother. Also, also in the last thirteen years xavier has not earned a bye only 3 times!!!! Guess what, the musketeers won the tourney each time. Watch out when X has its back against the wall. We've not been the flagship for no reason!

That's ridiculous. You don't want your team to win the conference tournament for seeding purposes? Win what you can, take what you get.

X is a dangerous team I see them getting to VCU and as long as their PG stays in the game beating VCU. Against Temple it just depends what Temple team shows up.

This isn't exactly our first rodeo.

Moving from a 6 to a 5 or even a 4 is a punishment for success.

I doubt Dayton or LaSalle prove to be too much of an issue, but after that I'd rather just sit tight. Game 1 will be the 26th tournament game Butler will have played since 2000 - that's basically another whole season.

UD's defense has let them down over and over this year, especially in close games, but the offense is explosive, and makes them dangerous against any opponent in this tournament.

You're hoping against a conference championship in the name of putting off the toughest teams for a round. I can't appreciate that. It's like you think you're bound to be upset so are hoping to find a way to squeak out a Round of 32 or Sweet Sixteen, bleh.
