Silva is a an especially key recruit for SHU & VU. He's a 6-9ish live wire with an unrefined offensive game. His energy & athleticism are top flight tho. Would love to see him at Seton Hall but as long as he winds up in the Big East (Nova) I'll be content. He's making his decision on Sept 19th (b-day).

Chris Silva is less than a month from making his college decision, but he'll be taking some visits before then. The Roselle Catholic big man will visit Seton Hall on Wednesday and South Carolina on Sept. 12, he tells NJ Advance Media.

Silva, who cut his list to Villanova, Seton Hall, South Carolina, Kansas State and Rhode Island last Sunday, will make his decision on Sept. 19. Villanova and Seton Hall are considered favorites for Silva, with 83 percent of predictions on 247Sports.com picking Villanova.

As reported late last week by Jeremy Schneider, Sports U and Roselle Catholic (N.J.) product Chris Silva starts a visit on Seton Hall's South Orange, N.J. campus today. We were able to confirm that the visit is an official, which shouldn't be taken for granted as local recruits have designated unofficials for Seton Hall in the past due to the campus' close proximity to their home. Official visits are restricted to 48 hours and other regulations.

Word in Nova circles is that Jay W. has cooled on Silva. Hoping SHU can win out and have him stay in the conference. Jalen Brunson is hinting that he is working on bringing in another player or two to join him. Hopefully it'll be a big.

Yeah, that explains why he cut Nova from his list. He cut K-State too and is set to announce between Seton Hall, South Carolina, and Rhode Island tomorrow.
