Sigh.

Why can't they just let us go and squabble on their own time, I agree. I hope it isn't something that can come back to bite us.

Nah just slows down any announcement. I figured this would happen those incoming schools are getting screwed.

Screwed compared to what was dangled in front of their noses, yes. Seems this is still an upgrade for them if certain schools don't bolt. I actually feel better about the deal knowing UConn, Cincy, and USF get the lion's share. Feels more like each of our 16 at least found something.

How long until someone decides the TV money isn't worth the travel costs and backs out of team America? I bet someone does...maybe Tulane?

Forget them "letting us go" if the deal is done, see ya. Why aren't the C7 holding their presser? Who cares about the leftover football dysfunctional families? What do they have to do with the C7 now? The C7 has been driving this form the beginning, why stop now? This is ridiculous.

al re: America 12, the minute I heard that floated I thought that's a mistake! Why the hell would you put a number on a modern conference, especially one with football members? We ALL know 12 won't last more than a year at most!

The problem for the BB7 is that Aresco and the FB conference have to sign the agreement that has been verbally reached regarding BE name, $1.5M etc. If there is no signed agreement any verbal agreement can be squashed - and you know we cannot trust the word of UConn et al.
