Wouldn't we be doing them the favor? Why the hell should we accommodate them? For one year? I'll pass thanks.

Unless ND has an ability to hold the group hostage for money, it makes NO sense to accommodate them! Hit the road and let's move on with a new conference. This is the one point that makes no sense to me. One year to see ND? who cares? This is a big time conference now- don't need to pander to ND.

Despite being a nd football fan and a casual fan of their other sports, I understand you frustration with ND wanting special treatment all the time. With that being said, pandering to ND is what big time conferences do best how else do you explain thier non football memberships in the Big East and the ACC, as well as their participation in the BCS

If the ACC can pander to ND, so could we. I would be snarky about the it whole year, but if the presence of ND would double our exposure outside of the Fox Sports world for the first season to get 'normal viewers' to notice who we are (and to be successful, we need 'normal viewers' to want to watch a random new Big East game the same way they would watch a random ACC game), it would be worth swallowing our pride. Would ESPN 'shun' us at all, since we would have our main TV contract with a competitor?

How are they looking next year? Looking for an NCAA run, or a rebuilding year?

If we get more exposure the first year with ND, then is the conference looked at as going down in caliber after they leave in a year? I would rather get started from the get go with the committed players than serve ND and then have the potential to look like we went down a run on the ladder the following year. Oh well, we will know soon enough. By the way, I'm a Brey fan too, so not anti- ND; just re the 1 year deal. Also, would be good for Creighton if they came the inital tour with McDermott for a year (strong possibility).

Watching the ND/Marquette game; they just mentioned that if the C7 leaves at the end of this year, ND would also look to get into the ACC for the 2013 season.

Lastest, from Blaudschun, ND is not going to the C7 for one year.

9 teams? Why? If he's wrong on all these wild predictions his credibility is gone forever.

No Cincy and no other football school. UCONN fans pack MSG. They are a great program and would help the new league get out of the gate strong. They would have to park their football in the MAC and would likely not go this route. Take them and ND with the knowledge that they may leave. Back fill with some of the schools that have been discussed.

However, it is not something I wish for, but I would be fine with it. Anyway, it is looking like all the details have been worked out. We just don't know them yet

No, no, no... Stability is king. No football schools and most certainly no to UConn who have shown they have no loyalty to the league that made them what they are. They made their bed and it isn't in our conference
