Since 2003-04 Richmond scored stronger than Creighton in 3 seasons.
Since 2003-04 Richmond has had 5 seasons which scored worse than Creighton's worst in the span.
Since 2003-04 Richmond scored below 80 in 7 seasons, Creighton in 3.
That extra tournament win for Richmond is definitely a boost over Creighton, but that's talking only a few games over a decade. Creighton looks like a program kept in much better shape.

I'm not sure it's fair to say that Creighton has been better than UR in the past decade.

It is not just that UR is less than a 100 miles from Georgetown, it is that 4 of the C7 can bus all of their sports teams to Richmond. That closeness to NYC, Philly and DC makes UR an easy add. Also UR's Olympic sports have consistently been a step above Dayton and SLU at least if you looked at the old A10 Commissioners Cup, which was dominated by UR, Charlotte and UMass.

True, but if you go back 15 years, Creighton has 8 appearances while UR still has 3.

True but there are few money sports. One of the odd things out of this is that there could be a separate deal made with the C7 plus for soccer. No we aren't talking bball money but Fox has the old Fox Soccer infrastructure it will be putting in to the FS2. It has currently a deal to play 3 ncaa games a week. It could easily add a deal to bring in the soccer schools of the big east. It makes sense... Fox has nascar and the PAC so it doesn't need football but on its second tier station it could fill it up with soccer and attract the soccer fans who while niche have proven to be a decent little niche. If you want football watch FS1 if you want soccer watch FS2. When SEC, BIG and B12 and ACC football are already gone soccer is a nice fall option and a good program filler.
Bostonspider wrote:I was looking at 10 versus 12 and, In reality the difference in inventory is not that large. With 10 teams, you play an 18 game schedule for a total of 90 league games. With 12 teams, you play a 16 game schedule for a total of 96 league games. Only a 6.7% difference.
