The victories are thrilling. The losses are crushing. And yes, Captain Obvious says you’re welcome.

Two observations from the peanut gallery, as I sit here on a Saturday afternoon:

1. This conference is simply fun to watch on television. The sports entertainment value is truly high. The arenas are full, the fans are passionate, games going to overtime, or games decided virtually on the last possession. (i.e. last night with Georgetown driving on Xavier and missing at the end after a thunderous slam dunk by Xavier’s talented freshman to take the lead, blowing the roof off the Cintas Center).

2. A shout out to Georgetown and Hoya fans. It’s a matter of time. Cooley is clearly moving the sleeping giant back towards success.

Jays won playing 5 on 8.

5 on 9 if you include the idiot behind the scoring table that yelled right at McDermott so consistently throughout the broadcast that you could hear all of his expletives on TV for 3 hours. That guy was such a dipshit he should have been tossed from the game.

I hope he feels good about himself now that his team lost and his voice is hoarse.

That guy was so Jersey. Feel sorry for his wife and dog considering the mood he’s going to arrive home in.

That guy and the whole crowd in Jersey was eerily similar to the Omaha crowd…. Jays probably felt during the lulls they were in the CHI. Might have something to do with Newark and Omaha being the butts of more jokes than any other cities in the Big East

Maybe this has been discussed before, but SH had a “sell out” and yet could have added another 6 or 7 thousand people by opening the upper bowl….why don’t they, at least for the bigger games?

I don't blame the refs for the loss, SHU lost because they played poorly. That's it. They had a chance to bury Creighton and they didn't do it and got punished for it because the Jays got hot from 3. I had no intention of bringing the refs up until I saw Jays fan complain about them first, which I found kind of laughable so I mentioned a few game changing decisions that went their way.

I mean if we had homer refs they were the worst homer refs ever...they could've at least tried to get us to the bonus before the second overtime.

They only open the upper bowl if the lower bowl is sold out months in advance, otherwise they prefer to keep the smaller, more intimate environment.

A 16-point road loss is basically a win for DePaul.

Hmmm….where have I seen a defender take out a shooter at the end of a game with no call on the defender??…..feels like it was about a week ago….it’ll come to me….

Can anyone explain the foul where Kadary sort of tripped over Trey… foul called on Trey. And they gave Hall two FTs even though he definitely was not shooting and the Pirates weren’t in the bonus? It really wasn’t addressed on the telecast and I thought I missed something until Twitter verified that I wasn’t crazy.
