1 year TV deal for Big East Hoops?

I am curious what "reasonable" means for the football money.

Doesn't exactly imply the BE7 are staying put next season. It could very well have a clause regarding the inclusion or not of BE7, who knows. All this says, to me, is that it isn't yet set in stone that the new conference will start in 2013, but we already assumed that. If Aresco is trying to hold tight to a lame duck lineup next season he would need to get this deal done to be able to strengthen his bargaining hand, right? No reason to read too deeply into this until it is officially announced one way or another on where the 7 play next season.

It's coming from the ajerseyguy blogger who also said UCONN and CINCY were close to joining the C7. He's pro Big East so I take that with a grain of salt. Until the contract is signed that includes the C7, I would wait and see....if Fox wants the C7 and they are starting their network in August with not only Fox Sports 1 but a Fox Sports 2, they are gonna want to show the C7 next year.

Tulane president has apparently said 2013 is still something being negotiated. The exit date for the BE7 has not been decided. I guess he also find the situation aggravating..
