I appreciate your enthusiasm, but let’s not get carried away. Rick is the latest in a long line of great coaches at SJU. No less than 3 Hall of Fame coaches preceded him at St. John’s. I’m not going to argue about who was the best, but to call Rick the best BY FAR is over the top. His predecessors deserve respect not only for what they did but for what they built to put SJU where it is today.

Goodman said on the Field of 68 that he is going to rank St. John's #25 in the preseason poll regardless of who is on the roster.

I don't know if Pitino thinks his Iona players can play in the BE, but Walter Clayton looks like he can step in and play in this conference right away. He shot 43% from deep and 95% from the charity stripe.

Basically, Pitino said Soriano's his captain next season, and that most of the players on the roster will not be back because they're not his kind of players. This guy doesn't f*** around.

Love it! So glad Lou was able to make it to the press conference today.....98 years young! Would be great to see Rick wearing the famous sweater that both Lou and John Thompson wore in that classic Big East game from 1985.... :D :D

Posh Alexander hits portal. Looks like a totally new Johnnie team next season with the exception of Soriano. Wonder is there's a chance some of these guys wind up at other BE teams.
