Providence NET plummeted from 39 to 51 after getting crushed yesterday. That’s bad for the entire league and horrible for PC. Friars have got to be worried about their at large chances right now with their super soft non-con SOS. Danger zone.

I think Providence is safe given how a lot of teams just below them lost as well. Like I said yesterday, I think their floor is having to go to Dayton and first four.

Providence is fine; a team's personal NET rankings doesn't factor into the selection process. As for other Big East teams (the ones that care about Providence as an opponent), Providence wasn't going to be a Quad 1 home game. The only place it impacts Quadrant rankings is on a neutral court, so the Big East Tournament. Conference tournament games have a reduced impact on the selection process relative to regular season games, particularly when not talking about the last couple Bubble teams (the field is already mostly set). So, the worst that happens is that UConn beats Providence by too much and they are only a Quadrant 2 win...but by a nice margin. Or, UConn beats Providence in a close game and it's a Quadrant 1 game. If Providence beats UConn, they would become a Quadrant 1 opponent for whoever they face in the next round. And again, this is all with conference tournaments not shaking things up much.

Big win for Penn St over Maryland- probably gets them into the tourney.

Providence is in trouble. Beat UConn and they’re safe, but otherwise it’ll be a long couple of days rooting for mediocre Big Ten teams to go down in flames.

haven't forgotten about this- Bracketville guy I think is using today as a deep breath type of day before the rest of the week. When he posts the seed list, I'll have a new one up.

Well, the BET just got more interesting. Have to root for Providence, which likely everyone outside of UConn fans were already planning on.

I just updated the chart from Friday with the 3 games from tonight. Hopefully he'll have update by tomorrow AM and we'll go from there.

2 of the 3 games added are Gonzaga and St Mary's who had been off over the weekend. The other was Charleston.
