Just saw the ending - totally blown call and Butler would not have had an easy layup if the whistle wasn't blown. Sure, they still could've scored, but most likely it would've gone to OT.

Colby Jones grabbed the rim, that is basket interference.

He grabbed the rim after the block was made and the ball was out of the area, so it still shouldn't have been called.

I stopped the frame at it looks to me to be still above the cylinder. But agree to disagree.

Missed free throws are a killer.

Xavier has now lost 3 of their last 4 on the road, including losses to Butler and DePaul. Down the stretch, they have to face Marquette, Providence, and Seton Hall on the road and do it without Freemantle. This could be a tough stretch run for them

Great point. Xavier FTs last night were plain awful.

Also, I know some people point to Fremantle not playing for XU, but Chuck Harris didn’t play for Butler either.

goes back to that Providence game with Xavier- I mentioned that Xavier got lucky shooting 13-23 from the line to win that game. Last night was only 8-14 for them. Like we saw last night, eventually that catches up with you. What is strange is during the season they're a decent 71.8% from the line. 70.8% in conference play. Not great, but not what they've done in 2 of the last 4 games either. Feels like shouldn't be an issue but it's become an issue.
