Both have done a great job. When the schedules even out and the double round robin is concluded, that is when we'll know who did the better job.

Great point. Here’s how I’m guessing it will look after the schedules even out (exclusive of the bottom of the league):
16-4 Creighton (tie)
16-4 Marquette (tie)
16-4 Xavier (tie)
14-6 Providence
13-7 UConn
9-11 Seton Hall
8-12 Villanova (tie)
8-12 St. John’s (tie)

2. League winner will have 6 losses.
3. Grades on new coaching hires: Xavier A+, Hall A+, Butler A+ (Motta is going to get some big wins IF Manny Bates comes back quickly).
4. Georgetown will win 2 games in conference. I'm a Knicks fan, what can I say?

Personally I think that the Jays have a couple more losses awaiting them in league play. Games at PC and Nova are tough and homes games with Marquette and UConn still too. Plus you could always have a bad night at Wintrust ala XU.
