Keeping him past this year would be nothing short of malpractice on the part of Lee Reed and Jack DeGioia. 6 years - a .400 winning percentage and .270 winning percentage in Big East, along with the longest Big East losing streak in history of the conference, and a single NCAA tournament appearance and zero wins. then '16 and '17 GU dipped under 500 and missed two tourneys, and their style of play was so boring to watch. Attendance sagged.

The downturn under JT3 was so unexpected, just blows my mind.

2008 the year after the F4 run was Steph Curry
2010 was losing as a 3 seed to Ohio U
2011 was losing as a 6 seed to VCU
2012 was losing as a 3 seed to NC State in 2nd round
2013 was losing as a 2 seed to Florida Gulf Coast

What is so weird about it is here in the DMV you almost hear nothing about Georgetown right now. Just no buzz at all. Had a bit in 2021 after winning the BET, but that blowout in rd 1 vs Colorado just snuffed out any excitement at all.
