Another game of UConn fouling a lot while not drawing many fouls, another game of Hurley acting like a victim lol.

A couple of those fouls were 50/50 but the worst call so far was the only foul called against CU on the Hawkins three and the replay showed absolutely no contact at all.

Sanogo outmuscling Kalk so far. However it feels like Hawkins is the only guy on UConn that we need to guard outside of about 5 feet.

His complaints also came soon after back-to-back fouls on Clingan that were both legit. Clingan literally looked back, kicking a leg out to trip a player after a bad closeout! His foul on Kalkbrenner on the alleyoop on that same play is vintage UConn fouling this year: Weak fouls that are blatantly obvious, the worst kind of foul that a defense can commit.

Maybe the second half will be different, but Providence playing really close in a borderline Quad 3 home game after the recent good work they've done would be a very Providence thing to do. The classic Providence move would be to win the game by 2.

All things considered, Jays are probably lucky to be down 8 at the half. Had to sit Kalk and Nembhard significant minutes due to BS fouls. Jays couldn’t make a three and UConn hit lots of 3s.

Gotta swing our sword in the second half and see what happens.
