Wright would rip into guys. Haven't seen much of that from Neptune yet.

Wright was so good at working the refs. It was impressive.

Sort of like Danny Hurley, right?

I wonder what makes you feel that way. I didn't see anything particularly noticeable, but anytime a young coach is trying to fill the shoes of a legend, it's a difficult task.

Nova is atrocious offensively. The ball movement is bad. Nova is dead last in assists per game in the Big East; 9th in field goal percentage, and points per game. They are also 8th in three point shooting. The ball does not move and it is all one on one, or sleeping in the streets from three.

On defense they are dead last in steals, blocks, and 10th in rebounding. Effort and fundamentals have not been to Villanova's standard.

Watching Nova it doesn't look like clear roles have been established, guys are doing too much individually, especially Daniels. I also think Arch's brother needs to be on the bench. He is averaging 28+ minutes and giving Nova nothing at all.

Steele let the inmates run the asylum and was too nice. Miller is at Xavier to coach, hold players accountable, and win. Neptune needs to stop playing nice guy and hold players accountable and coach.

Nova also has the fewest turnovers per game in the Big East and are top ten in the country, and they lead the nation in FT %. They’re not completely lost on fundamentals.

Ha, right? I like how in the post-game presser, he said that he got a technical for something minor. No, dude, you got a technical for cumulative behavior after more warnings than you deserved.

Yeah, Nova is ranked #21 in offensive efficiency on Kenpom while Chris Arcidiacano is averaging 30 minutes a game. That's pretty damn good.

Arch is a glue guy. That can be an important role.

At fewer minutes than that, maybe, but he plays *a lot* while his usage rate is under 10%, which is pretty damn bad.

Doesn’t matter. It’s a team sport.

A guy on your team not being an offensive threat *does* matter, as it puts more pressure on your teammates. Glue guys usually still have role player level usage rates and aren't categorized on Kenpom as "Nearly Invisible." That's what makes the top 25 offensive efficiency so impressive.
