been a lot of talk on twitter about the Providence game. guys like Goodman, Dauster, etc. All of them saying lol about the name of the place- saying they're always gonna call it the Dunk.

UConn vs. Providence intrigues me. UConn is coming off their first loss and theoretically should be looking to bounce back from that, but Providence has really ramped it up recently. I guess I'm just not used to Providence blowing out opponents, as they often play to their competition, so to see them do that recently has me thinking this could be a good game.

Good observation. I agree with your assessment. I expect it to be a close game that could go either way. And we know Cooley’s record in close games.

Providence looks pretty darn good. And UConn looks discombobulated. That is my official analysis.

The Friars have played tonight with the most intensity at both ends of the floor of any team I’ve seen all year. They defend. They rebound. And they attack the basket. Man, do they attack!

Man, UConn is really bad at racking up dumb fouls where there's little upside to even risking it. That's why they are ranked 330th in the country in defensive free throw rate despite having a top 5 defense. They are basically set up to quickly put teams in the bonus by the little crap they do while defending.
