Bummed that my Johnnies are playing Nebraska. That's twice we've been matched up with Nebraska (we beat them in 2017) and twice with Rutgers. UGH. The Nova, Xavier and Hall matchups should be good ones......

Butler at Penn State - this was a no-brainer with Shrews at PSU. He was a Butler assistant from 08-11, including the two Final Four teams. Likely was on the short list for Butler for many years and probably would have been the pick, possibly over Matta, if he were still at Purdue this past off season.

Interesting Tweet regarding a possible extension:

Seems the Big East wants all 11 teams to play. I suppose it isn't surprising that this is being discussed, but still a good sign. Wasn't sure if the Big Ten was still interested given reduced OOC schedules.

Nebraska's NET was #145 last year while ours was #64 (still surprised we didn't even make the NIT...). Plus it's a home game at CA. Sadly that's literally the worst case scenario for a Big East team in the Gavitt Games. Might as well be playing a random mid-major.

Very disappointed that we have so many repeat matchups, but they are still strong OOC games.

Excited about possibility of extension of Gavitt Games. Hope that happens for all eleven teams.

Nova will have played 2 home games vs 3 away? Yeah if this isn't accounted for, I'd rather have Nova stay out of this series. We already can't schedule like a top 10 program with the big 5 commitment. Can't get screwed over like this after spending the entire OOC on the road last season.
