Following up a fantastic weekend in the 2021 BET with a winless conference slate the following year is just an awful performance. You can make all the excuses you want, but even Mullin managed a single win in his first year at St. John's with a less talented roster.

You’re missing the whole point. St Johns is not Georgetown. While I see the rationale in comparing the situations, there really is no point. In practice, they were two completely different sets of circumstances. I could go on into detail about hot GU and Ronny Thompson are responsible for running players off campus (because it’s not debatable that Ewing can coach when he does have the horses), but you lot seem a little too rigid for that. Hey, you can only lead a horse to water…

This isn't rigidity; I find some of what you're saying interesting if it's true, and it would partly explain Ewing's difficulties. But only partly. You seem to want it to explain things entirely. It's not like he was putting a MEAC roster out there; he had enough talent to be better than this. I do think he has some coaching chops, though. It's just not going to work out, and time will show that.

I think this would be a great move by Georgetown- from Zagoria-
Georgetown is targeting former Louisville interim coach and ex-DeMatha Catholic star Mike Pegues to join Patrick Ewing's staff, per sources.

Pegues is apparently headed to Butler.

Also added Primo Spears from Duquesne last week.

Dante Harris
Jay Heath
Brandon Murray
Akok Akok
Ryan Mutombo

Jordan Riley
Wayne Bristol Jr
Primo Spears
Denver Anglin
D’Ante Bass
Malcolm Wilson

Aminu: I’d say a 30% chance he comes back as of now.
Colin Holloway: I’d put around the same 30% chance he returns.

Much improved over last year so far…

Love this guy defending Ewing so hard . I did that for 3-5 years now I’m over him and he has proven to be one of (Probably the single worst) coach in the entire Big East .

He’s a legend , I love him as a man and a player but the record and off the court speaks for its self . Hard to give a single crap about this team and program . Let’s check back in next year at this time and see how blindly you will stand by him
