One of the great things I like about the league so far- everyone is rooting for each other. Creighton fans genuinely want to see Seton Hall do well- and vice versa across the scope of the league. I know part of it is because its early, and most seem to understand that the better each team is=the better the league will be.

Let's keep winning these recruiting battles and continue to strengthen the league. Who knows, this whole basketball first things could really turn into something special with top players wanting to play in this league.

Hill narrows list to Missouri and Marquette.
Also Sam Casell Jr still in the running.

Here's a link for a great interview with what sems to be a very poised high schooler in Ahmed Hill. He says he hasn't narrowed down to Marq & Mizzou, still at 5. But on the brighter side, per Ryan Ellerbusch:

2014 SG Ahmed Hill (@MedHill_14) will be in attendance for Marquette Madness on Oct. 11th.

He seems like the pro-typical buzz recruit.

This is going to be a large part of the appeal. All of us have to constantly sell the "If you're the best, you need to be in the Big East" theme. The SEC has made this a viable theme with college football; I don't see why we can't make it work in basketball. I also think we can sell hard the idea that if you come to any of our schools, you won't be second fiddle on campus to football.

Absolutely. I can't speak to other teams, but I know a lot of the MU recruits (signed and offered), they really enjoy the idea that we are a basketball-centric school and conference. For a 17-18 yr kid, it's a big selling point that you will be king on campus.

Hopefully the attitude will last at least through the non-conference schedule. I'm hoping for cordial interactions between fans even once conference play starts. I'd like to think that we can be competitive more like sibling rivals than hated foes.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I am with ya in the hope that we can keep this place classy. But even if all falls apart in conference play, this has been the best sports talk forum I have ever been associated with. So much so, I actually will not be surprised if we keep the tone civil while being competitive in-season.

Excerpts from Creighton recruit PG Riley LaChance's interview with Gopher Hole.com after his visit to Minnesota last weekend:

Gopher Hole: What are your plans after this visit? Are you going to go anywhere else?
Riley LaChance: Yes. I am visiting Iowa this Thursday to Saturday.

Gopher Hole: Have you thought about when you are going to try to decide on a school?
Riley LaChance: I am thinking, barring any new offers or anything like that, I am thinking that I’ll take the Iowa visit and probably decide a week or two after that.

Gopher Hole: What is going to be the main factor that is going to make you pick School A over School B or C?
Riley LaChance: I think the team that has a chance to win. A chance to win, a chance to be competitive in the near future. A team where I feel relatable with the coaching staff, with the players. I can see myself going to school there and having success, both academically and on the court. Just a place where I could see myself really fitting in.

Gopher Hole: Do you have a favorite yet?
Riley LaChance: I do not.

The athletic Canadian center has 22 scholarship offers and has only taken one official visit (USC, Sept. 7), and after Marquette offered in June they visited him two weeks ago. There hasn’t been much written about where his recruitment stands — USC is considered the front runner — but the Golden Eagles seem to be in fine position, as Craig’s AAU coach confirmed he will visit the Milwaukee campus.

Update from TheHoopFactory.com:

"Texas, Ohio St, AZ St, Marquette, USC, Purdue, all visited 2014 #KingNation PF Jabari Craig last wk! Uconn in this wk"

List updated...SHU has jump in the recruiting battle for C Adonis Delarosa per Chris McManus at SouthOrangeJuice.com:
