Much, much better location. Alumni of DePaul who work in finance and law in the Loop can actually go to 7 PM weeknight games now. It's just a much better location for business people.

Also much easier for students to attend because it's actually in Chicago. Not a bad taxi fare if 4 students want to share a ride together.

DePaul will have to perform at an elevated level for several years to get to that number. I believe that only half, possibly less, of the teams in the conference draw 10,000 or more. Off the top of my head I think it's Creighton (around 17,000), Marquette (15,000ish), Georgetown (around 11,000), and Xavier (10,000ish). I could be wrong about that, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am. However, 10,000 is a pretty reasonable number for an arena that's primary tenants will be the teams from a university.

Villanova would easily draw over 10,000 (we routinely get 18,000 - 20,000 at WFC) if not for the space limitations of the Pavilion & Radnor township.

Arena looks amazing, lets hope they get the program headed in the right direction and get back on track.
