Eh, it's just a sign of a passionate fanbase. I'm guessing most fans over there started watching UCONN in the 90s or later. Nova fans are no different after a loss.

During the Seton Hall- UConn game, i noticed the advertising board at the scorer's table had "Goldenberg's Peanut Chews".

I discovered these things at an old-skool news stand here in Wakefield RI. One of my Sunday head-clearing rituals is to get a Sunday paper and a pack of Goldenberg's at this news stand. I didn't know they were sold outside of this place. Same consistency at the old extinct Squirrel Nut chews from the 70s.

P.S. in the 80s my brother lived 2 blocks from the NECCO wafer factory in Cambridge Mass. Same vibe.

I don't see the success of Syracuse impacting us all that much. Sure, they're located in the "northeaset" but they've turned themselves into a displaced southern basketball school. The undisputed top 4 basketball schools in the northeast right now all play in the Big East. There's little doubt Georgetown and St. John's will join the fun and make it 6, hopefully sooner rather than later. We have a stranglehold on the region and Syacuse alone is simply no threat to that.

Personally, I think Syracuse will fall off badly when Boeheim retires (it may be starting already), but I don't think it matters whether that proves true or not.

The Hall-UConn game had a perfect atmosphere.

St John's has a great team. We benefited from fouls on Soriano, but his backup was excellent too. Exhausting defense. Just a couple of ill-advised shots by SJU, kinda forced some threes instead of continuing with their great drives to the hoop which got them a 5-7 point lead.
