He also has a potential Nova - Creighton game in the round of 32...is that allowed?

Lunardi does it to simulate upsets in the conference tournaments. They technically lead the conference right now so that's why they have the auto bid.

Sure, it's allowed. However, since brackets change weekly with the latest results I am not
concerned with conference mates playing each other in the 1st-2nd rounds. Joe's just
doing his thing and stirring the pot a bit.
