Have enjoyed your recent contributions and glad you're back. I've also enjoyed not having to butt heads over which hoops conference (BE - AAC) had/has the brighter past, present and future.

Now, this doesn't mean you can't challenge the status quo around here sometimes. Doing so with fact-based data will be always welcomed. I know you are a big college hoops fan deep down, as are all of the posters on this site. This conference is possibly the best thing for long-term health of the sport IMO. It keeps the FB power guys from thinking they can just dictate their own terms with all athletics. College hoops needs a strong BE. And thankfully they are getting one. And it's nice to see that perhaps the BE has a larger place in your heart and fandom than it did previously.

The fact that Stever is back THIS SEASON after the AACK Poaching, their diminished future and This year so far being ranked lower than the MWC is a litmus test proof to me that he wasn’t the AACK troll I thought he was.

Not only that, but also the AAC replaced their 3 departing schools with 4 insulting mid-level football schools. Couldn't add even 1 basketball school amongst their 4 expansion teams. Had they replaced UConn with VCU (as he wanted) things may be different, but it's clear now that the AAC doesn't care at all about basketball and probably only added Wichita to appease UConn.

I'd say he was previously more overdoing with the "devil's advocate" thing than being an intentional troll, but I agree that I've been enjoying Stever's posts lately. I'll 2nd the welcome back!
