2013 NIT Tip Off

Postby BigEast1 » Tue Sep 17, 2013 3:44 pm

Talk about a weak field, top 4 seeds are Duke, Arizona, Alabama & Rutgers. They are joined by other notable "powerhouses" Elon, Canisius, East Carolina, FDU, Georgia St., Drexel, Metro State, UNCA, McNesse St, URI, Norfolk St & Stillman. Yes Metro State & Stillman, I have never heard of these schools before LOL. Why not just pencil in Duke & Arizona for the finals now.

Ive heard of Metro State University they are a very good DII school in Denver. They do very well in the DII tournament. Good for them making the NIT though it pretty much devalues it.

Does a preseason tournament really exist if no BE team is included....I say no.

Umm Norfolk St is the school who upset Missouri a couple years back becoming the second 15 to bear a 2. Of course then Duke lost and last year GTown lost so its not as big of a deal as it should be.

After asking my dad about Metro State(he's involved with Metro state) about whether they went D1.

I'm providing this for entertainment.

Metro St. was on TV last year for the DII (NCAA tourney...not sure what it's called). It was kind of fun watching a D2 team, but they are no where near the level of a D1 team, even the worst D1 teams. Pretty cool they got an invite though.
