Not a major follower of the women's basketball. Of course the major conference tournaments are this week. Which is the norm. I see Ohio State is at Rutgers right now on ESPN. I thought is the Big Ten not having a conference tournament this year? Nope. It's next week. How is that possible with the men's tournament on BTN I thought. Well, most of the Women's Big Ten Tournament is on FS2. Good to see more live events on FS2.

I'm sure most have already seen this, but Skip Bayless recently received a four year-$32 million contract extension from FS1 after ESPN tried to bring him back. $8 million raise from his original FS1 contract of 4 years-$24 million in 2016. Can't say I've watched more than 30 minutes of the show since 2016 and based on the ratings I'd say I'm in the vast majority. To me there's nothing worse than listening to the idiotic ESPN/FS1 talking heads "debate" about the same things over and over first thing in the morning. Give me five hours of sportscenter reruns circa the 1990s.

Agreed. Those “debate” shows are insufferable. Especially ESPN, because of their contract with the NBA, treats every win, loss, trade, controversy, etc as some earth-shattering event. It’s like a soap opera.....

I'm at work so I don't watch these debate shows. Even when I'm off, I still don't watch. Might flip through for some minutes. Both are NFL heavy. Makes sense. Also, NBA driven. Not sure why ESPN/FS1 doesn't focus on college football. It's only the 2nd best ratings sport. Not sure why FS1 doesn't focus more on MLB, since MLB is on FOX.

As for Skip Bayless. The money is worth it. I don't love or hate him. I just go by the numbers. The show averages in NFL season between 140k to 200k in viewing. He most likely does 230 shows per calendar year. That about $33,000 per show. That would be a steal in any live sports event. Big East, MWC, MLS, PBA, horse racing. When he is gone on vacation, the ratings drop by 35%.

FOX Sports has added former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops, replacing Urban Meyer to the BIG NOON KICKOFF college football pregame show beginning this fall. Stoops joins analysts Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and host Rob Stone Saturdays at 10:00 AM ET heading into the network’s biggest matchup of the weekend, BIG NOON SATURDAY, at 12:00 PM ET on FOX.

Not directly FS1 related, but ESPN is reportedly getting the NHL rights in a 7 year $2.8 billion deal.
