If you were running CBS wouldn't you go for the biggest names in the conference for national broadcast? Georgetown, Villanova, and Marquette are those big names right now.

Meh on this deal, it gets a couple games on CBS next year which might be worth it. 5 games on CBS years after so not totally bad. Also, CBS sports network will show some women's basketball and olympic sports as well.

I actually think this is a pretty good deal. I personally think I would rather see Xavier games on CBSCS compared to Fox Sports Ohio (then again, I already have CBSCS) and obviously Fox can't broadcast every single conference game. Using this to get some games on the main CBS channels is also HUGE for the conference in my opinion.

Second class citizens? CBS picked up one game and because your team was picked to be in, suddenly your a 2nd class citizen. You're a clown.

You mean the league is marketing it's showcase teams? Really? It's called being nationally relevant, which as of now we are not. You know what makes a program nationally relevant? Winning. And making the NCAA tourney more than once every decade....I'm a huge PC fan and I want us to succeed as much as anyone, and I think we're headed in the right direction, but WTF is up with this stuff? Are you trolling?

The marketable teams are why the conference got the big contract in the first place. The TV exposure is a great way for the not yet as marketable teams to prove they belong more often on the national stage. Its a win-win.

I think you are misinterpreting the placement. CBS Sports Network would be a step down from FS1 IMO.

Sadly, I agree. I want the Pirates on FS1!
