This is the one I was suggesting. It's all basketball.

There's been more posts here this weekend than there has been over there all month. Instead, why not post a link there inviting those posters to join here?

My vote is to keep this site here. Everyday I come on this site, I keep expecting that the other shoe is going to drop and I will find the usual sports board flame throwing has started on here. So far it has been a tremendous surprise. I have to think once the season starts it is going to be a little less civil. But who knows, the folks on this site as is have set a very high bar. Perhaps the Big East will be known not only for high caliber basketball but the best fans as well.

I've stored up a whole closet full of chest thumping in anticipation.

True. All the BE fans (primarily X and But) are here now I believe. And I was sort of tongue-in-cheek about moving. But that place is easier I think to work with. You can multi-quote there for example. And I'm glad somebody else has the same problem I have with this board not remembering my Login. That is frustrating. If we could somehow magically take all the people and posts on this board to that site, it would really be worthwhile. But I respect the work the admins/mods have gone through to set this site up and monitor it. That can't be easy.

As long as both sites are OK with it, I think the sites can co-exist pretty well. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of BE action there currently, but Xavier fans (and a few random others) are building anticipation for a great season.

Software can always change. I'm not seeing what would be worthwhile in shutting down a stand alone site just to become a subforum of a massive site which is fairly limited in college basketball traffic. I know A10 fans found a niche there, but it's pretty limited past that. I like the independent site and the admins idea of trying to be cooperative with the various fan sites of the schools.

The whole idea is to get as many people talking about the Big East as possible, right?

I'm not following you. Trying to fold this site into a forum nearly dead on college basketball does what? Basketball Forums is not a college basketball haven, and I'd think that moving there might even be dropping this forum into a less visible position. Maybe we can have more snippy discussion with the A10 fans there, I don't know, but an active, independent site that has already established itself is a good thing. Why kill a forum already working to try to force something to work where it currently isn't?

This site is about as good as it gets for a place to talk BigEast sports. I think once the season starts we'll really see the benefit of having an independent board that is well moderated.
