Interesting traffic data for HolyLand board

[The Dayton thing is surprising. There can't be that many people in Dayton and there really never were very many Dayton posters on here.

I am a UD fan. Folowing can explain the interest in this blog

1. The Dayton metro area is the same size as IND and Cincy ond Omaha (remember that 1/2 of the Cincy Metro area is KY farmland)
2. Close t0 60 percent of the UD enrollment is from out of state and a huge part of that enrollment has historicall originated in NY (also NJ, PA)
3. These East Coast ties can be evidenced by the huge UD alumni turnout any UD game played at MSG, Brooklyn center, Fordham, Philly, etc.
4. UD (and Xavier) was shut out of the Big East when Margquette, Depaul, Louisville, UC were added
5. UD is the largest Catholic university in the State of Ohio (quite a feat cosidering the Catholic population in Ohio)

In what way are Dayton and CIncinnati metro areas the same size? Population-wise, Dayton is fourth behind Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus. If you're talking about total area, who cares?

ok, CVG ""Metro" population is larger than DAY, however the markets overlap (center citis 50 mile apart)
DAY is larger than OMA and close to IND

Forgot to say that UD is not only the largest Catholic universtity in Ohio, but the largest private college in Ohio

Out of the above "Catholic 12" only 4 are currently the NBE, with 2 from this 12 (UD and STL) trying to get in.

Not true. Metro areas are close (Omaha 885,624 vs. Dayton 800,972) but the city of Omaha (421,570) is about 3 times the size of Dayton (141,359).

OK, where are you getting those numbers? Indy & Cincy double the size of Dayton.

How in the world would you think Dayton is the size of Cincinnati or Indy, did you ever leave UD's campus? As for viewer traffic, I'm sure nearly all of the Dayton metro traffic comes from UD fans. However, I would expect about half of the Cincinnati traffic is coming from UD fans as well. Eventually the viewers of this site will understand that Xavier is the 5th most popular basketball program in Cincy behind UC, Kentucky, OSU and Dayton. Probably a decent percentage of Chicago and NY traffic are UD fans as well. UD has a very large and devoted fan base, they are interested to know if their program will be invited to the new league.
