Big East teams in holiday tournaments

Postby Omaha1 » Thu Jul 18, 2013 7:16 am

I haven't taken the time to look at each of the tournaments that Big East teams will be playing in so I thought I'd start a thread so fans can speak about theirs. Creighton and Marquette will be in Anaheim together over Thanksgiving. Miami and Arizona State are the other BCS teams there. I'm not sure if I want a Marquette-CU final game with the Big East opener between the teams just a month after that.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Johnnies in the Barclays Center Classic and they always play in the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden. No major tournies for them this season. They will play Penn State at the Barclays in the semi-finals and the winner/loser of Georgia Tech and Ole Miss.

Butler begins the Old Spice Classic at Disney with Washington State, followed by either Oklahoma State or Purdue (who they'll play about two weeks later in Indy as part of the Crossroads Classic). The other first-round match-ups are Memphis/Siena and LSU/Saint Joseph's.
