2014
Gtwn - 2
Nova - 1
Prov - 1
SJU - 1

Xavier also has a Top100 in Edmond Sumner for 2014. Word is that he has a chance to move up even further from his current rank of #88.

Well done!
Every recruit each school brings in is a recruit for the entire conference.

Go Friars!!!

Jalen (#32 ranked in ESPN Top 100): "I chose them because they were recruiting me the hardest out of everybody," he told Rivals.com. "Coach Cooley is the most sincere, hardworking, dedicated family type of coach I have ever met and that's who I want to play for."

Congrats, like St. John's, you have the right coach in place and the talent is signing on. Now, please get rid of your scary mascot and bring back the dalmatian hound. Hopefully, SJU will change the current nickname and mascot, but I'm not optimistic.

Marquette's 2014 Malek Harris is #76 and #77 in Rivals and Scout. He is 4-star in ESPN but apparently right outside the Top 100. Should move up next updated rankings.

Also, Marquette has an 2015 ESPN Top 60 player in Nick Noskowiak. #44 in Scout. #56 in Rivals

77% of NBA were 3 stars or less.

Very interesting. Both Kyle Korver and Doug McDermott from Creighton were not heavily recruited. Though it is an indication ( and with the very top talent almost an automatic), most others are based on heart, passion, development, and location of the kid. We have seen getting a 4 star recruit that is a problem is a cancer for the team. Getting an athlete with character and leadership is a tough one to find; sometimes you don't know until they are on campus. Guys like McDermott and Gibbs help everyone else get better. I believe CU has those type of guys in our freshmen class and hopefully we can bring in those types in 2014 class.

Not sure that means much, how many 4 and 5 stars are there? Maybe like 100 a year? I'm sure a higher percentage of them get into the NBA compared to everyone else...

I call BS on this. I'd venture to say it is the other way around.

Hi there,
FIrst time poster long time fan of Creighton. I'm gonna comment on the state of Creighton recruiting which will probably not bode well with my fellow bluejay fans. Yes Creighton is doing a good job upgrading their facilities and it will definitely pay dividends but the fact remains that the city is not that enticing to big time recruits. We need to go after midwest small town phenoms that will consider Omaha an upgrade to their current digs. Going after East Coast talent I feel is not in our best interest unless they are a juco already in a midwest school. I am confident Creighton will get the talent they need to compete against their East Coast brethren but let's put our focus in the Midwest where we can get the best possible fits for our school. Over time as our brand increase then yes let's venture out but for now we need to concentrate in the midwest. That is my opinion. Can't wait till the start of the season. Peace.

Your points have merit but each recruit is different in what they or their family may be looking for. This transition is going to be interesting to see how it all plays out needless to say. Bottom-line, I think, is we will have to recruit both. Both the midwest and the East Coast. How's that for stating the obvious. We have to upgrade our athleticism in a more athletic league but we cannot forget or downplay who we are. Creighton and Omaha have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
