Listed at 6'9", 240 on ESPN. That's a big HS kid if this is accurate.

A 6-9 high school offensive lineman is even more impressive/rare...If he can play a lick he's an anomaly for a fb player...is he going to college for the right sport?

Was hoping to read some posts from some Marquette/ Chicago area fans on O'Mara since that is where he lives.

I've watched a few of his games this season & one thing I'm certain about is O'mara is not a throw in recruit for X's 2014 class. He's a legit top 100 player & likely one of the best front court players coming into the BE next season IMO. Through Benet Academy's (IL) first 7 games they are 6-1 & O'mara is averaging 19 ppg, 12 rpg, 3 apg, 2 blk/gm.

At 6-9, 240 O'mara plays like a center in a cbb PF's body. He's got a space-eater game but he can get above the rim easily enough to get some nice put back dunks. He knows how to get buckets in the post, very crafty, and again he's a rebounding machine. I haven't seen much of him as a defensive presence but I've only seen a couple of his games so far. He reminds me of a more offensively gifted (at this stage) Mikal Hopkins (Hoyas). He is also extremely active for a big guy (good motor lol) with what seems like a solid bball IQ. I'm surprised but I think he's going to be fun to watch.

Turns out that somebody was the #3 team in Ill, Marian Catholic with 2014 Top 30 UK signee PG Tyler Ulis lol! It was a league play road game for Benet that ended in an OT loss by 5. O'mara represented lovely before fouling out in OT. He's legit and getting better. I haven't seen any big coming into the BE next year putting up gawdy #'s like O'mara.

"Ulis missed six of his first eight shot attempts as he team fell behind by as many as 20 points in the second quarter. Ulis then took over, finishing with 33 points, including four 3-pointers, to go with five rebounds, five assists and four steals to ignite an 89-84 overtime victory against No. 16 Benet in an East Suburban Catholic Conference showdown.

Playing for the first time in 13 days, the No. 5 Spartans (5-1, 1-0) overcame a monster game by Xavier-bound Sean O'Mara (36 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks). The 6-foot-9 O'Mara shot 15-for-20 from the floor but fouled out with 2 minutes, 12 seconds left in overtime."
