Here's an update on former SJU & Depaul recruit (likely eliminated both) & still Creighton recruit SF Josh Cunningham in an interview with ChicagoHoops.com:

The senior is the top uncommitted wing in the state. We caught up with him to discuss his recruitment beginning with his official visit to Creighton over the weekend. “It was pretty good. I liked the team and the campus. I really like the team. They are together like we are at Morgan Park. I really like them.”

He likes their style of play. “They run. They shoot. They are real long. They play defense like my style of play.”

The coaches said they see similarities in Cunningham’s game to their current star. “They said I play like Doug (McDermott) the coaches son. He is versatile and can go down to the post and shoot. He can play defense and pretty much do everything.”

Indication is that @JoshMCunningham is down to Creighton, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Iowa St and Bradley.

I'm guessing that even though Cunningham & LG3 are listed as SFs that Creighton wants both 6-7 swingmen.

Hopefully the attitude will last at least through the non-conference schedule. I'm hoping for cordial interactions between fans even once conference play starts. I'd like to think that we can be competitive more like sibling rivals than hated foes.

I am with ya in the hope that we can keep this place classy. But even if all falls apart in conference play, this has been the best sports talk forum I have ever been associated with. So much so, I actually will not be surprised if we keep the tone civil while being competitive in-season.

Something tells me there will be good natured ribbing at points but I just don't see this board degenerating into an all out slug fest of insults and put downs. I just don't think the regulars here will tolerate that plus there is that neat little feature that lets you ignore the less desirable posters! :D
As always, this is Just One Pirate's Opinion!

Yeah, Coach Mac sees Gilmore as a 3 and Cunningham as a stretch 4 so we are still after him.

Multiple rumors about Makinde London announcement coming today. He's a 6'10 PF with guard like skills. He grew 8 inches over the past couple of years and could be a real weapon. I mentioned it was down to Xavier and VCU earlier this week so considering he hasn't visited VCU there could be some good news coming on the Xavier front.

If X gets London, along with Sumner & JP, you guys would have a heck of a class, maybe top 15, likely top 20. Go BEast!

We knew he was very interesting in an engineering degree. Not too many better places to get one. I wish him the best.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
