Way to get it done X...FWIW I think he will wind up a consensus Top100 rated player by the end of this season.

Some info on JP Macura from NBCSports.com:

"At 6-foot-5, Macura is an aggressive scorer on the offensive end of the floor. He’s a good shooter out to the three-point line, he understands how to move without the ball and he’s the kind of scorer with the confidence that he will hit any shot he takes. That gets him into some trouble with his shot selection, however, and he also could stand to improve his handle and his on-ball defense."

Huge get for Mack and Xavier. They definitely ramped up on JP over the last few weeks and it definitely paid off.

Xavier has huge visits from Makinde London and Sean O'Mara (sounds like he may not be far from committing) this coming weekend. If they lock up those two (especially London), very solid class IMO.

Congrats X on getting Macura, was hoping he would choose Creighton but atleast he is staying in the Big East.

Wondering if today changes anything?
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Per Brian Snow
JP was made aware of this by the Xavier staff and there is no conflict on that end. They made it clear to him they wanted him and Trevon before either committed.

He tweeted "welcome to the family" right after Bluiett committed.

Even with another excellent SG in Remy Abell becoming eligible next year too:

"The biggest difference from last year’s Musketeer Madness, other than the return of the dunk contest, was the depth that allowed the men’s team to play five-on-five without relying on walk-ons. Remy Abell stole the show with 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting (2-for-3 from three) and two assists, thus falling in the grand tradition of transfers you wish could play right away. He can only practice this season."
