I think my answer is 4. I think someone besides the big 3 gets in .

I voted three. Looks like the basketball gods have decided to torment Johnnie fans once again with all the upsets today. Disappointed in myself that I didn't see this coming.

Four with St. John's getting the final spot, but could also see it going to Hall.

Rough day for the bubble teams, but I'll go with 5 and just hope the committee largely picked its Big East teams before the conf tourneys with our teams sitting inside the Last 4 In.

Ha - I'm choosing 6. Cuz why not? POSITIVE ENERGY! hahaha

Here’s the full quote from Hurley on the Big East possibly only getting three bids. Great question from @NYPost_Brazille.
“First off, if Seton Hall is not in, that’s embarrassing, and there’s a larger problem relative to the respect that the Big East gets. Providence beat Wisconsin, who beat Purdue today and is playing for the Big Ten championship…they beat Marquette with Kolek earlier in the year, obviously St. John’s, we’ve played them and we’ve played some other teams in the non-conference that are gonna make it. St. John’s is just as good as everyone else. We should be a six-bid league this year. Villanova, I don’t know if they’ll make it, but if we don’t get six teams in, that’s incredibly disrespectful. There’s a lot of truth to what some of these conferences did relative to manipulating the NET. When you look at some resumes of some of these programs, they literally beat nobody in the non-conference.”

I think 4 is most likely with St. John's making it.

And I think 5 is the second most likely scenario with the Hall getting in too.

Based on how things went yesterday, things don't look great. However, I just cannot believe St. John's and Seton Hall don't deserve bids.

As Clint once said---Deserves got nothing to do with it! We should get 5 though!

I'll stay positive too and say 5.
