As much as we would like to see all of the Big East bubble teams make the NCAAT, the fact is that so many of them keep dropping the ball. It's really hard to make an argument for Nova or PC anymore. Butler looked like a good bet a couple of weeks ago and they pooped the bed. Then Nova did on Saturday. PC had the grandest opportunity of all and did not look anything like a tournament team.

St. John's had better win on Wednesday or their bubble might burst as well.

Ouch not a good update for the conference. St. John's gotta win one pretty much.

Agree. And I think the problem that we've seen is no one has taken that 4th spot by the horns even to give the league a 4th top 30 team for Q1 wins. And the one that did in the standings, Seton Hall, was the worst one for that- entering conference play they were the only Non Georgetown/DePaul team outside the top 75 in the NET. They were #95.

I think if you're Seton Hall seeing this you're feeling pretty safe right now.

Seton Hall is safely in whether they win or lose on Thursday. Again, Seton Hall beat the #1 team in the country and followed that up with two top 10 or top 15 wins right after that with Creighton and Marquette. There are not too many schools in the country that have the conf resume that the Hall has. They are in barring some unforeseen scenario where every AQ is some bottom feeder from their given conference and well, that is not happening.

St. John's is very close but they HAVE to win this game against the Hall on Thursday, no ifs, ands or buts. If they don't win they will still be close but they will get knocked out of a spot, guaranteed.

Johnnies need to bring their A game on Thursday at 2:30. No other way around it. We have to beat our cross river nemesis for once!!! Then we going dancin!

Unless you're on the Committee then you can't be making a definitive statement like that. St. John's is currently in a lot of brackets as a 10 seed (and in some better). Current consensus on Bracket Matrix is third to last team in (11 seed), and two spots would free up if USF/Richmond don't win their conference tournaments.

I'm not saying St. John's would be in with a loss to SHU, that's debatable and still tbd based on how other games go, but it's absolutely a possibility.

I hate to say it, but it would be very St. John's like, to lose this game to SH on Thursday. They always get your hopes up, then find a way to disappoint you in the end. The crazy thing is, if they do get in, I can see them making it to the second weekend. Let's go Johnnies!

I kinda feel the same way. We have been here before many times with the Johnies. My only hope is that somehow the "Pitino effect" gives NYC a different outcome. Its about time they win a big one. They are also hot at the right time. Its going to be a loud, jam packed Garden.

I'm sad I will miss this QF session at the Garden. I will be attending the Opening Tripleheader the night before, but the tickets are too expensive for afternoon QF and I already bought NCAA Second Rd Barclays assuming UConn will make it. lol
