Practically speaking, it makes a lot of sense to sit him out and it shouldn't have too much of an impact on Marquette's regular season finish. Now they need to figure out a way to get him healthy for BET and beyond.

It actually could- if they lose to UConn and Xavier, while Seton Hall beats Nova and DePaul- they'd finish tied at 13-7. They split so then it'd go down to UConn, and Seton Hall beat them. That would put Seton Hall 3rd and Marquette 4th. Get 6 seed in QF who played night before instead of 5 seed who is fresh.

Tough break for Marquette, but boy they still have a lot of talent!

He kind of had to spin it positively just to avoid the team being penalized come NCAA seeding time if he isn’t back to 100% in the Big East tourney.

Any news if we'll see Kolek this week?
