Another superb season for the Cats comes to a close in the Final Four. In this final review, we say finally say goodbye to one of the best to ever wear a Villanova uniform, Collin Gillespie

OUT
*Collin Gillespie
*Jermaine Samuels
*Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree
*Bryan Antoine (transferring to Radford)

STAY
*Brandon Slater
*Caleb Daniels
*Eric Dixon
*Justin Moore
*Jordan Longino
*Chris Arcidiacono

IN
*Mark Armstrong
*Cam Whitmore
*Brendan Hausen

My 0.02:
*Nova was Nova this season. They are the kings of this league until someone dethrones them. They may take a slight step back next season with the loss of Gillespie but you know they'll still be right in the mix of it and they should still be dancing next season. Jay Wright is too good to let Nova drift too far off course. I also really like this recruiting class Nova has

UPDATE: Well damn!! I did not see that Jay Wright retirement coming. So it looks like Nova could see some movement amongst players with some leaving and some coming in. Not sure how to feel about Kyle Neptune. Only 1 year of head coaching experience and that was this past season at Fordham. He went 16-16 with the Rams. But he was an assistant at Nova for a long time. Dare I say he was Jay's "Wright" hand man lol  But this offseason just got juicier!

I think a major question for Nova is going to be Justin Moore. Is he able to play much if at all next year? Typically Achilles takes about a full year to get back.

Didn't get significant playing time. I know Cosby-Roundtree didn't either but he was there for a long time so I thought I'd mention him

Don’t know their plans but both Slater and Daniels have another year of eligibility if they so choose. Potential starting lineup:
- Moore (if healthy)
- Longino
- Daniels
- Slater
- Dixon

Bench: Cam Whitmore, Antoine?, Brizzi? / Arch / Armstrong; Patterson?; Njoku?

I would guess we’ll lose someone to the portal. Best guess is prob Antoine, esp if Daniels comes back.

Oh man, I miss Jalen Brunson.... that young man is going to be paid some serious $$$ this offseason as an unrestricted free agent. 41 points, 8 rebound, 5 assists and 0 turnovers. Goodness.

Probably best to say Moore may miss the season.

Gumby...Gumby...Gumby, my man.
Loving your Embarrassment of Riches. ;)

No way Whitmore and Armstrong don't start. One of your boys will have
to take a seat (Daniels/Slater). Longino over Armstrong??? Sure.  ;)

Yeah it's looking like Mr. Whitmore will be on the court a LOT. Rivals just put him in the top 10 in their final class rankings and he (arguably) was the MVP of the MCD's game. If he learns how to play D to Jay's liking he's got a good chance to OAD. Not our usual MO...

Armstrong prob not ready to take the reigns year 1 in all likelihood.

Longino is our next star guard IMO. You look at what Jay likes--big bruising guards/wings who can play multiple positions--and his ideal lineup next year is Moore (if healthy--or there is some smoke about Courtney Ramey from Texas potentially coming our way), Longino, Daniels, Slater and Whitmore. All 6-4" - 6'7", mobile, physically strong, can guard anyone, anywhere and can all post up, drive or fire from 3.

You guys throw Kalk at us and we counter with 5 out wing/bruisers who can all shoot. Will be quite fun to watch Jay and Mac in their labs mixing their potions.
