so as we have a few days before the BET saw something-

So looking at the BET already have 5 games where 2-0 in regular season:
Seton Hall/Georgetown
Xavier/Butler
Marquette/Creighton
Providence/Xavier or Butler
Villanova/St John's or DePaul

Will be interesting to see if the team that is 0-2 able to beat team 3rd time around. Would seem at least 1 of those will win, if not 2.

Thought this graphic was really interesting. Providence by far the worst team in the country top 50 NET in garbage time. No one really close.

And interesting that Seton Hall one of the best teams in garbage time.

Any mention as to how they define garbage time? I'm curious. Bryce Aiken was definitely a last 2 minute monster. Most extreme example being 11 down with 45 seconds left at DePaul and cutting it to 2. That's with DePaul making 9 of 10 free throws over the final 45 seconds

We had similar strong finishes against Providence and Villanova, but I don't think we were far enough down to really call it "garbage time." Then, at least in Big East play, we didn't really have many blowouts with true garbage time. I'd say 1 on the losing end and 2 on the winning end.

sounds like when chance of winning at start of possession is at least 99%.

Got it, thanks. It also makes sense that the teams with the most extreme garbage time efficiency changes also have the fewest garbage time possessions. Definitely feels like a stat that in most cases would regress to the mean over time. Something the chart appears to support.

I'm not going to lie, I am very nervous about playing G'Town. I was nervous last week when we played them and I'm extra nervous now. No one wants to be their first W and I really don't want to be that first W in the BET. Plus its a 3rd meeting. I don't like it. I'd rather play Nova or Providence.

Literally anyone. Losing to this G'Town team would just be such a bummer. Not that I don't think we can and should win, but losing to anyone else would be like a "Ok, that sucked, but at least there are other people at the 'Lost to x party'".
