I'm looking forward to it. Both teams have improved since our first meeting. Hoping for a barn burner.

Gotta like Marquette's chances.Hard to beat a team twice and I think Marquette improved the most over the season.

...but I'm just going to get myself all freaked out and paranoid about Davidson first. Hopefully we'll see.

Gotta win that 2nd round matchup first with Bucknell. They're essentially the same kind of team that Butler is, and their big man Muscala is really, really good. I guess the one good thing for Butler is that it seems the majority of the experts are picking Bucknell to win, which at least means that Butler shouldn't be overlooking them.

IF both teams happen to win and the matchup does occur I actually don't anticipate a ton of things being different in terms of it being a close game pretty much throughout and pretty much whoever has the ball last will be the one who wins it. Marquette doesn't turn teams over a ton and that's been Butler's kryptonite during the year. I do agree that Marquette's been better consistently throughout the year though.

Butler is beating Bucknell. It probably wont even be very close.

Butler will win games that they do not turn the ball over, that has been the constant for the year. The only teams that have beaten a healthy Butler squad since Maui are top 25 in the country in forcing turnovers. (no point guard - he was kicked off the team right before the season)

Bucknell is literally second worst in the country at causing turnovers. (346 out of 347 teams)

Without the extra possessions, the talent gap will just be too much.

But, Davidson over Marquette? hmmmm

I am hearing ticket sales are light for the 2nd round (Thur) games. The brokers there have tickets for almost half price on stubhub and I picked up 3 for under 60 each including shipping and fees. Pretty sweet. The NCAA wasn't too worried about ticket sales when they put Bucknell, Butler, Marquette & Davidson in the same pod. Four private schools without the gigantic alumni bases (especially in Lexington).

Bought tickets to the first session for $28 each. That's real cheap for lower level.
