Butler withdrawing from A-10 to join Big East

Butler will withdraw from the Atlantic 10 next week and join the reshaped Big East, according to a source familiar with the ongoing discussions.

An announcement is expected next week. The goal is to get a new conference done before the second round of the NCAA Tournament begins on Thursday.
