In the last 48 hours, the Big East...

Hired a highly qualified, well respected commissioner in Val Ackerman.

Saw their TV partner Fox Sports 1 lure away Bill Raftery from ESPN.

Announced a college hoops fan's dream day of basketball to kick off the new Big East's conference schedule on New Year's Eve.

For all the grief the league has gotten over the past couple of months, I'd say it's been a pretty darn good last couple of days.

The Big East will be more than fine.

Good luck to all the teams competing in it. Should be a hell of a conference.

Only top-tier conference in that regard. Should be a hell of a ride.
Big East Basketball is what it's always been. Great competition nightly.
If the Atlantic 10 didn't suck, why is everyone looking for the exits?
There is a reason why the A-10 left a team in the Central Time Zone...SLU, your move.

The Big East is ready to roll! Looking forward to all the league sports but hoops in particular. While I hope the Johnnies pulverize all of you out there, I'll be rooting for Creighton, Xavier, Butler, The Hall, Quette, G'Town, Nova, DePaul and Providence out of conference every time out. I think our schools did a good job in getting this up and running. The Big East is reborn! See you in New York. We are St. John's! We are...THE BIG EAST!
