Interesting recruitment to say the least. He announce a final three of UNC, auburn and Creighton last fall but hadn’t visited 2 of the 3 schools. No CU fans had even heard of him before that. Then he went silent. I guess we’ll see if he makes it to DePaul and how it goes there.

Some of us had heard of Cruz...he was Top 15-25 last Spring. Yes that old top 3/no visits was
surprising. Jays were considering him as a CG. Zion was considered a heavy Auburn lean. Visited AU and Oregon last June.
There was a lot of waffling in his camp and he had committed, decomit. recommit to Auburn over
the course of the year.

Surprised to see this development, but a POTENTIALLY great get for Stubbs & DePaul! Kid is a
dangerous and near-complete player. Boosts DePauls stock for next season. Was a consensus
5-Star for most of his HS career, until taking a slight nose dive this past year. There is no lack
of talent in the Big East... ugh!

UConn’s second commitment of the week, fast-rising guard Solo Ball. Visited Storrs last weekend. Joins ESPN 100 Stephon Castle and four-star Jayden Ross, who committed on Monday, in the Huskies’ 2023 class.
