So, cost is more the reason than Covid. How about that. ;)

19,812 for the Knicks game the next day following Georgetown and St. John's this Sunday. (5,161)

I guess covid only comes out for St. John's games. LOL

Whoever is using covid as an excuse is crazy. St. John's has a serious attendance problem. Probably only DePaul and Georgetown have more serious attendance issues.

But the Johnies are paying to use MSG. that must be expensive

Awful post. COVID is one reason, that's a fact. Again, I know several people who haven't gone once this year for that reason. I assume you don't live in NYC and don't understand what it's been like here. We're in much closer proximity than everywhere else in the country, rely on public transit, and also the waves always hit here first. The first wave was by far the worst of the pandemic and NYC was most affected. I personally also know several people who died during that first wave in the spring of 2020. Again, you have no idea what you're talking about but should know enough about how many people here died from COVID. Obviously it's nowhere near as dangerous now as it was previously, especially for those of us who are vaccinated, but I assure you it's been tougher on our city than most other parts of the country. It's not easy to forget that and rush back into crowded arenas just to watch a bad team.

The other reasons are ticket prices (raised by a massive margin in 2020) and a mediocre product. Go back a page and look at our MSG numbers in 2019 when there wasn't a pandemic and we were half-way decent (final team in NCAA Tournament). We were selling out or nearly selling out every MSG game.

All that said, we need to sell around 10K tickets for MSG attendance to be worth it. When we're a bubble team we can do that easily. CMA and COVID are the biggest problems, not MSG.

I think I agree with you. Not sure who next one would be- maybe and I know it's with an * Hurley at UConn.
